Paris based musician & composer born in 1975.
Student in electroacoustic-music composition in Philippe Mion’s class at the École de Musique de Vitry-sur-Seine (France).

Since 2000 he has played guitar or turntables in BTR with Arnaud Rivière and Roger Turner, in CAB with Oliver Augst and Rüdiger Carl or in quartet with Dan Warburton, Aki Onda and Jac Berrocal. In 2005 he was invited to create a unique turntablists trio with Otomo Yoshihide and Martin Tétreault. In 2002 & 2003 he organized a 9 concerts serie called POSITION at Instants Chavirés in Montreuil with Jean-François Pauvros and Miho.

Bellenger is a regular collaborator of the german composer and singer Oliver Augst. Their main activities are the trio CHANTE FRANCE ! with Sven-Åke Johansson and the musiktheater & the radioplay and live piece KURT WEILL CHASSE FANTÔMAS developed in collaboration with Radio France, the RBB, the Goethe Institut in Paris and Mousonturm in Frankfurt

He has also played on stage or recorded with Noël Akchoté, Thomas Ankersmit, Andy Bolus, Chris Corsano, Alan Courtis, Thomas Desy, Alex Grillo, Will Guthrie, Hendrik Hegray, Marek Jason Isleib, Utah Kawasaki, Sachiko M, Mattin, Erik Minkkinen, Manuel Mota, Aaron Moore, Joachim Montessuis, Nina “Mariachi” Garcia, Fred Nipi, Aki Onda, Didier Petit, Stéphane Rives, Romaric Sobac, Sharif Sehnaoui, Christine Sehnaoui-Abdelnour, Ignaz Schick, Goth Trad (Kouhei Matsunaga), Dan Warburton or Jedrek Zagorski.

Alexandre Bellenger has played in many festivals and venues in France & Europe such as Météo in Mulhouse, Iritijal in Lebanon, Cave 12 in Geneva, Mousonturm in Frankfurt, Futura in Crest, Interpenetration in Graz, Musique Action in Metz, Gardena in Rotterdam, Densités in Fresnes-en-Woëvre, Total Meeting in Tours, Mono in Glasgow, Hoellenfahrt in Vienna, Donaufestival in Austria, Factory at La Cigale & En Chair et en Son in Paris and many others.

He is also the founder of the free art magazine MY PRECIOUS TRASH in 1999 & collaborated with LEVI’S VINTAGE CLOTHING. His works have been shown in magazines such as Dazed&Confused, PiL, Bad to the Bone, InFringe, DDmagItaly or 0fr.
